The White Cottage was born from a simple idea: to create a space that feels like a gentle escape from the city’s hustle, a place where good food, meaningful connections, and natural beauty come together in perfect harmony.

Yin Kay Khaine @ Theresaa 

With over 16 years in hospitality and service, Theresa is an expert in business development, marketing, and customer relations. As Head of Sales & Marketing at The White Cottage, she blends data-driven strategies with market insight to enhance brand presence and guest experience. Her career spans leadership roles at Hotel Yangon, Hilton Worldwide, Inya Lake Hotel, and Hotel Nikko Royal Lake. She is skilled in product launches, market research, and building strong partnerships. Theresa holds an MBA and is pursuing a Doctorate at the European International University, Paris, with global training across ASEAN, India, Korea, Malaysia, and Italy. At The White Cottage, she helps shape a boutique experience for discerning travelers in Yangon.

Kyaw Thura

With nearly three decades of culinary excellence, Chef Kyaw Thura is a distinguished figure in Myanmar’s hospitality industry. His journey began at the Strand Hotel in 1996 and includes key roles at Lufthansa Airline Catering, Hotel Savoy, and the Hilton Hotel Group. He also became a sought-after culinary consultant for establishments like The Burma Bristol. Since 2023, he has served as the Group Executive Chef at The White Cottage, where he continues to lead culinary innovation with a strong foundation in both traditional Myanmar and international cuisines.

Zaw Min Tun @ Bu Su

Zaw Min Tun, widely known as Bu Su, is a hospitality professional with over 20 years of experience in restaurants and hotels. Beginning his career at The Strand Hotel in 2005, he rose from Waiter to Supervisor, honing skills in service, operations, and team leadership. He went on to serve in supervisory roles at Sanctum Inle Resort and Yangon Excelsior Hotel, later advancing to Assistant Restaurant Manager at Yangon Thanlwin Hotel (2019–2022). In 2023, he became Restaurant Manager at Society Bar & Lounge, and in 2024 joined Monsoon Restaurant. Currently, as Restaurant Manager at The White Cottage Restaurant & Lounge, he continues to uphold high service standards, lead strong teams, and create memorable dining experiences for guests.

Mya Win

Chef Mya Win started his culinary journey in 1994 and brings with him decades of expertise from some of Myanmar’s most prestigious hotels to The White Cottage. With a deep understanding of kitchen operations and a passion for flavor innovation, he has become an invaluable part of our team. Skillfully blending tradition with creativity, Chef Mya Win curates menus that are both comforting and inspiring. He also enjoys connecting with guests, offering personalized recommendations and pairing options to enhance their dining experience. Under his leadership, every dish reflects a perfect balance of taste, presentation, and warm hospitality.
